Situated in Sumba, Indonesia, Marosi Beach boasts a high-quality deep-sea coral reef structure that delivers robust right-handers during substantial SW waves. The waves present a challenge, breaking up to 100 meters above the coral reef, while smaller waves create favorable breaks within the beach.

What are the optimal surfing conditions at Marosi Beach?

Ideal conditions range from overhead to triple overhead. For larger waves, it is recommended to use a shortboard or step-up board as the size increases. This surf spot caters to intermediate and advanced surfers.

The waves exhibit a consistent quality rating of 6 out of 10 and generally attract a decent crowd with a rating of 7 out of 10. The most favorable winds blow from the North East, while the best waves originate from the Southwest and West. Marosi Beach is suitable for surfing throughout the tide variations.
